clicking noise?

Hey guys this noise hasnt been around long but it happens at high torque low speed, like when your taking off from a stop sign.

I come to a complete stop take my foot off the brake and let the truck roll it doesnt do it, as soon as i give it some gas it makes a loud click noise. its not violent, but you can sortof feel it.

the truck has 268,000 miles on it, anyone have this problem before or know what it is? or have any suggestions?

well my truck made a clicking noise when I was in reverse and turning, but it came from the rear end, it was a suspension thing I think..eventually it just randomly went away. Havnt ever had your issue..sorry wish I could help more

This just screams 'U-joints'. I'd get them checked. After clicking, they evolve to squeaking, then eventually they break and driveshaft hits the ground. :(

thats what i had in the back of my mind but i have not got a change to look at the damn thing for a week due to being sick as a damn dog. i got other parts comin for this bad boy so i cant wait to work on it and thats the first thing ill check once i get it up in the air.

also i got a question for anyone
does anyone know what the arm that goes from the steering box down to the pitman arm is called? the peice that goes from the splined shaft on the box with the big ass nut on the bottom.
we looked and looked and looked at the auto part store in the books and eveything and cand find it. and do they wear out?
my steering is really loose because of it, its the only thing with play in it. ive never seen any others do this before, i was wondering maybe if theres nylon in them?
