Intake Filter Orientation

Does it matter? I had a buddy of mine install my CAI (I'm not too mechanically inclined) and he assures me that it doesn't matter, but as you can see in the pics my filter is slightly tilted. All other pictures I have seen show it being flat. Should I bother changing it or does it not matter at all?

As long as its sealed to the intake piping its fine. Orientation doesnt matter at all. Be sure though that the clamp is tight and it cant suck air from after the filter.

all the clamps are solid...can't make it budge using a good amount of force.

thanks for the input!

yea, in your case, it's just aesthetics...I would pull it up to be even..and i'm not an anal person either..but it still works this way too..
