Timbrens and Air lift 1000

I am going to tow my 98 Jeep TJ to Colorado on a 18' car hauler. I have a set of the Timbrens and was wondering if putting the Air Lift 1000 on would be over Kill? I am worried about saging.

I put the firestones on mine, love them!

On the Air springs, I love the stock height for the snow
rear drive only snows 3 months only.
Will air bags allow me to drop it 3" so I can get it to handle?

I have the Timbren SES units on my truck as I pull a heavy trailer a lot. Trailer ranges between 6000 and 7400lbs, with a tongue weight between 600-850 lbs. I do not use stabilizers, and the Timbrens have proven themselves time and time again. :)

I installed the Air Lift 1000 last year. It is outstanding! The draw back I had was the air line from the compressor to the module couldn't handle the high PSI. I just changed it with better air line, no issues since! I tow a 35ft trailer @ 7100 lbs when dry.

With air helpers you wont be able to drop the truck from stock height. Unless you install lowering springs and then jack the truck back up with the helpers, which just isnt really a good idea imo

I tow a heavy boat, haul a 900lb quad and have loaded the box with Im sure too much weight of firewood and my Timbrens worked perfect for me. and the install and forget aspect suits me as well

I am unfamiliar with the Timbrens but from what I gather through the install guide is that they will only work with a stock vehicle, correct? It seems that with a lift such as mine, I would have too large a gap between the frame and axle for these to have any impact.

Yes you are correct if you have increased your distance fron the yellow bump stopper and the axle plate they will not work for you
