Questions about build threads

This may be a dumb question but I've noticed other members having "build threads" which I think is really cool. I'm going to do this for my truck instead of posting all over the forum like I have been, but I was wondering is there a specific section for this? Also it looks like people make additional posts on their own thread to go back later and edit....how do they do this? Thanks, sorry, not much of a computer guy :4-dontknow:

If you look to what some are doing they have a link in their Sig that takes them and others to the string they started. In my Sig I have several links that take you to different areas. The link can be tricky to create. I use my word processor to create the linked info. Good luck and you might want to ask the users here who have what you are looking for how they did it through a PM to them directly. We are all looking to be as helpful to others as possible.

Most people who do build threads/mod logs have been putting them in the pic section, unless it's something specific like lighting or audio where there are sections for that, because they are usually pic heavy threads with lots of write up's and how-to's and you can always shoot any of us Admin or SuperMods a message and we can help you edit your thread. :)

Ok thanks guys, I'll probably put it in the 4.7L performance section as that's what my main focus is.

I'd suggest you put it in the Ram Video/Picture section.

I usually go in, reserve some individual posts just by starting the thread, putting in something like "Reserved for future info", post that then go back and do the same thing in 3 or more posts...

Then, it's on with the mods!

So if I "reserve" a few posts then down the road I can PM a moderator and they will enable me to edit those posts?

You'll be able to edit them with no problem.

I added a dedicated section for these now. :)
