electric brake plug wiring help?
I have put a couple threads on here about this with no help yet. from what i have read that there should be a green wire that does not run all the way to the back of the truck to feed the electric brakes on the trailer. I found a green wire that go into a plug under the drivers side door but does not go to the back of the truck. there is also a red one that goes into that same plug and does not come out either. is that green wire the one i need to run back to the blue wire on my 7 pin plug? and what is the white wire with a red tracer that is already back there for? it comes out where the wiring harness splits for the tail lights.

Hi, I don't have an answer so, it's time to .........:icon_bump:........... this back to the top! I will also pass the thread along to one of our techies for you.

Thanks i really thought that someone on this forum would know how to hook this up. I am sure this is not the first ram that doesn't have all the wiring ran to the back. so far no luck.

Check out these videos. It's extemely easy if you have factory tow package, just buy the adapter wire and plug from controller to the plug under dash. Or just do what they do on video.

And here's a link that might be helpful on tracing the wiring circuits as well:
