Beginning the mod journey on my new 2011 Sport Crew....

Hello everyone. Just got my new 2011 Sport crew a week ago and the mods have begun. The dealer had already tinted the front windows so that was 1 thing that I won't have to do. It also has a spray in liner which I could have done without but it was already in there so I've got it now 1 way or the other.

I've always lowered every truck I've ever driven and this one is no exception. Got the Bell Tech 2/4 kit on it today and I love the look and the handling is SO much better!!! The front end needed a little tweak or 2 but it did align perfectly after the drop with no issues what so ever.

Here's some before pics...

Closed up the gaps around the wheelwells very nicely...

Interesting to me that it seems that no 2 of these kits seem to affect the trucks the same. Here are the before and after measurements of the supposed 2/4 drop.....

Rear before: 38.5"
Rear after: 35.25"

Front before: 35.75"
Front after: 34.75"

So as you can see 2/4 was very realitive on mine anyway. I got 3.25" on the rear and 1" exactly on the front. Sits almost level now with just a bit of rake. I really like the look but I may add some bags to the rear for towing just to keep the stance with my trailer attached. I also lost the nerf bars and added the stainless gas cap cover along with a full set of Weatherbeater mats. I'll be de-bdaging this weekend and I broke down and ordered the R/T emblem for the grille and the Hemi emblems from the Challenger for the sides of the hood lump. More pics to come!!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Terry

Good looking' truck! I would recommend removing the pillar tape and debadging, especially for the lowered vehicles. Just seems to give it a more sporty look IMHO. Both are easy and cost almost nothing. Below are links to my threads on this:

Just noticed you are in Springdale. I am in Fayetteville. Good to see another Hog fan on the forum!

4X2 - op hasnt removed his badges yet and no 4X4 on the tailgate!

Wishing belltech would hurry up and get me a 2/4 drop kit for the 4X4.

TerryH: Sweet looking truck there by the way! You've got great taste in colour and love the stance. That is the look I really want!

That does look good! I've had my BellTech kit on for a week now, and it has been great!!! Love the grey Sport look....what I would have gotten if I had more money! I would look into the debadge as well and maybe an exhaust setup and CAI!
Here's mine for reference!

Thanks Lothario!!! I had a lowered 2004 Laramie that was the Graphite color before this one. I have a matching enclosed trailer so I thought I better stick with the dark gray. I honstely wish it was a little lower in the front. It is just about perfectly level. The back of the rocker panel is just 1/4" higher than the front. I'm investigating my options but it looks like I'll be adding bags to ther rear for towing just so it looks right.
