JET 180 T-Stat branded with MOTORAD???
Just got my 180 degree thermostat in today that I ordered from Summit. I ordered a JET 180 part number 10183 and when I opened the box I noticed it is branded with MOTORAD. So did I get a JET product or a MOTORAD product? Anyone else notice this?? Thanks!

I've seen both. I have a Motorad in my SRT. I've had it in over 3 years, no problems with it at all.

Engine runs a little cooler, slightly more power, and should increase longevity (slightly) from lower heats.

Some people claim the oil needs to be at 195 deg to lubricate properly and a bunch of other stuff, I don't see how that could have any truth to it... Every get oil on your hand at room temp? It lubricates well at all reasonable temps lol. The hotter the oil the faster it breaks down. Just don't go much lower than 180deg or you can have issues with the computer not reaching closed loop(the computer is designed to run at a certain temp, so if you put a 160 deg tstat in the computer won't know what's going on and will think it is not coming up to proper temperature, and will dump more fuel).

Sorry dude but I bought my 180 MOTORAD at O'Reilly's for $13.49. You cant ask for
one to fit a new ram they say they dont have them, but I found the part number posted
on the forum on another thread and just gave them the part number.
Just couldn't stomache paying 40-50 bucks for one actually I spent more on antifreeze
than the thermostat.
Im out of town right now but will be back in home Saturday evening and if you need the
part number just PM me tomarrow and I'll be glad to get it for you.
