Ahhh, the best of the best questions.... Open imo would be BFI/Ram Hammer but good luck in finding one new or used.

I second the BFI! I have one and love it!

Open BFI, closed i would look into the new S&B, it looks nice.

S&B or K&N for the open filter type.

Partially closed - AFE Stage 1 or Stage 2

Totally enclosed - Volant

They all seem to flow about the same. I've had Volant and AFE units on my trucks and a couple of cars. They seem to do the same thing.

I would honestly say to watch your local craigslist for a good CAI, I picked up my Mopar CAI for 75 bucks!! Theres tons of people selling k&n's and others for cheap too just keep you eyes open.

Airaid or Vararam!

Is there still a long wait on the BFI intakes? Would the BFI intake be good for a stock motor or should I just get a K&N drop in replacement.? I've always bought K&N filters for all my cars and a CAI for my modded Dakota but after reading for hours and hours on this forum I'm seeing it is not the prefered intake.
