Check Engine Light/OBD II not reading.
So my wife was driving my 2009 TRX4 Crew Cab home on the freeway and the check engine light came on. I tried to read it with my OBD II, and I keep getting an err message. I thought it might just be my scanner, so she took it to Autozone, and the same thing happened. When she got home, I disconnected the battery, and reconnected it, thus reseting the computer and turning off the check engine light, but OBD II will still not read. My truck has 40,000 miles on it, so isn't covered by warranty anymore. If this is the beginning of issues, I will let the repo man come get it for sure as I am not going to sink a ton of cash into this thing on top of the payments. This is my first Dodge, where I have been a GM before, and am not sure I will ever buy another mopar. Any helpfull suggestions before it goes to the stealer?

I am sorry that you have issues
the 2009 Ram is the only year that has the LIFE TIME Power train Warranty, check out other
Ram warranties, check the other American brands

I hate to mention it, but if you had converted your original warranty to the LIFETIME MAXIMUM CARE WARRANTY, it would cost pennies to have repairs done
It cost me $1100 & it has already paid for itself

Just so you know I found out this isn't true, dealers can extend this. My brother just bought a 2011 with the lifetime warranty from napleton in florida (only dealer offering it). In my opinion, the lifetime warranty isn't all that great, more of a "sounds good" thing...It doesn't cover the most common things that would fail at high mileage...

I wasn't offered the other warranty when I purchased the truck, and if I was, I don't remember. In my opinion there shouldn't be issues with a truck this new. I traded in an '08 GMC for this thing, and I never had a problem with that truck. I miss OnStar...a push of the button will tell you why your check engine light is on, or even tow youre 2 wheel drive off the the top of a Montana mountain side, don't aske me how I know!
