Mobile One Users

I need to change my oil for the first time sometime soon, I think. I have around 6k miles and it's really eating me up to change it. I have never gone 8k miles between oil changes. My problem is, does Mobile one 5w-20 meet the Chrysler Material Standard MS-6395 or does it exceed it? I tried to contact Mobile One directly via telephone and website and nothing, no replies. So I need some advice on this situation before I do this. I also went to a auto parts store to buy a mobile one oil filter and they had no specific number as of yet for the 5.7L Hemi. They informed me that an M1-210 oil filter from mobile one would work. Would this be correct? I need a little advice right now, please help......:4-dontknow:

I just changed mine over to mobil 1 about 2 weeks ago and checked before I did it. Searched the web and found this from mobil 1 website. I also used a WIX oil filter for mine. I am a hardcore believer in wix.
Mobil 1 5W-20

This viscosity motor oil is recommended for most Ford and Honda vehicles since the 2001 model year. It is also the viscosity grade being recommended for many Chryslers beginning with the 2005 model year.

Mobil 1 5W-20 fully synthetic motor oil meets or exceeds the requirements of:
  • ILSAC GF-4 energy conserving viscosity that flows quickly during cold starts.
  • API SM/CF
  • ACEA A1/B1
It is suitable for use in the following applications:
  • Ford WSS-M2C930-A
  • Ford WSS-M2C925-A
  • Chrysler MS-6395
Mobil 1 5W-20 complements a lineup of Mobil 1 products that are engineered to help keep your engine running strong. Mobil 1 with SuperSyn Technology meets or exceeds the industry's toughest standards and outperforms all conventional motor oils. It offers exceptional performance under all operating conditions, pours at temperatures as low as -53F (-47C) and protects at oil temperatures as high as 400F (205C). Mobil 1 5W-20 meets or exceeds the warranty requirements for gasoline and turbo-charged engines in many Ford, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Chrysler vehicles where a 5W-20 viscosity motor oil is recommended

I've used nothing but mobil 1 5w-20 since I got the truck... runs like a dream.

I run nothing but M1 pure synthetic in all my cars. I even run their pure synthetic race oil in my drag motors. All my tear downs in all my vehicles have shown nothing but amazing looking bearings, w/ good compression on all cylinders and no signs of any sort of problems from the oil. Ill run it in all my stuff until they quit making it or I quit driving!

Mobil 1 for me as well. I tried using their non-synthetic (but not the regular) this last change, and am definitely going back to the pure stuff next time.

I use Mobil 1 and Wix filter too

Mobile 1 will meet all the requirements but use the 0w-20 rather than the 5w-20. It has better low temperature protection, therefore better protection during start-up. I know your in TX but it is still worth it for startups.

Just wondering, in Dec. we are planning on driving to Boston, Mass from Houston, TX ... any recommendation for what weight to use when I do my oil change before I head up...

Houston in december is like 50's if we are lucky we get a winter dusting for a day...

either 5w-20 which means ... tested to 5 F temperature at Winter start ups & 20 weight after warm up

0W-20 means tested at ) ZERO F degrees at start up & 20 weight after warm up
neither breaks down until close to boiling

i buy my Mobile 1 synthetic at Walmart, 5 quart jug, i save almost $15 over buying at Pep Boys, Autozone, & Oriellys
i buy 3 jugs at a time, that is enough for 2 oil changes plus, i buy WIX 57899 oil filters at any store running a sale, i'm a sale hunter
