Anybody raced a 4gen Ram against a Cummins

I'm just wondering if any one with a 4gen Ram has raced an 08 or newer Cummins? I use to have an 08 Cummins Ram, chipped with a Smarty at 170 hp. Judging by seat of pants I think the Cummins Ram would totally waste my 09 gas Ram. What do you think? Any body raced one?

I ran one but I don't know what his mods were. He called me out and made a fool out of himself. The speed limit was 55 so I let off at about 80 with him far behind and he kept going until he passed me. Guess he wanted to take home a bogus victory. I think he would have beat an eco boost furd though, lol!

Are you sure you have a 3.73 gear ratio? I didn't know that gear was available in the 2009 1500. BTW...I was just teasing about the deisel being able to beat an eco boost, no hard feelings I hope. I don't even know if the truck I raced had any mods besides a big chrome sewer pipe exhaust with plenty of black smoke, lol! I could only guess that he had something because the kid was pretty pissed off like he was supposed to win. I would guess his truck was a 15 sec 1/4 mile truck...not too shabby for a big truck though.

half ton gear ratios that are offered: 3.21, 3.55, 3.92.

if you have the 3.92 I think your 1500 would be quicker but with either of the other two I'm not sure.

I have an '09 rcsb 2wd and a '98 2wd 5 spd 12v dually. I wouldn't want to bet either way on that one. The dually last ran 14.67, but it did it at 98 mph. Since then I've learned that I should launch it in 3rd gear (yes I have enough clutch for that) and I found/fixed a plugged fuel filter that was INSIDE the pickup assembly in the fuel tank. Damnedest thing I ever saw, I had no idea there was a filter in there until I found it by accident. Anyway, with the couple of little changes I've made to the dually it will probably trap about 100 even, which is about 1 1/2 mph faster than the hemi truck has done. If I did everything right with the 5 speed it might just barely squeak past the hemi. Hell, I might have to get my buddy to drive the hemi and line up against him in the dually sometime.
