First time on the dyno / Possible Spruce Grove meet
Well i finally got around to finding a CMR and booked an appointment. Going to get a custom tune made for the goat. Always wanted to see a vehicle on the dyno...thinking about it makes me feel like i'm 16 again! If anyone from around Edmonton wants to meet or tag along i'm going to be In Spruce Grove for 9 am on the 25th to get er done.

I went out just a couple weeks ago for a base run,
as soon as I get my new headers I'll be going back for a full custom CMR tune...

when i took my '09 in for a dyno run, i had seen several street rods on the dyno on different occasions
the tech put all these heavy duty straps from the floor to the Ram
he kept tightening the straps more & more, i watched the truck getting lower & lower, then he started the truck, put it in gear & let it roll a bit, then checked the straps again
then he started the test run, all seemed to go pretty normal
then he turned on all the machines & made the first run, i thought he was going to blow the engine & each time the Ram shifted, it would sort of squat & then raise back up like it was going to launch
It was quite an experience
the 2nd run was even better, as the charts showed

i could not figure out why he didn't manually shift it & do a run
they did manual shifts on all the street rods with automatics
Chris was pretty good about easing into the throttle on my runs,
He said its hard to keep it from down shifting into 2nd prime (passing gear) when you try to get a 3rd gear pull.
So he prefers to do the 4G Rams in 4th gear...as a result it doesn't read as high as some.
Most stock 4G's he's dyno'd come in at 290HP when its hot out (82ºF during my run)
Mine stumbled a bit at the start when he was trying to keep it from down shifting,
this was also just a day after I installed a new 2800 Stall Edge Torque Converter, so the TCM was still adjusting.
Chris said I really need a full custom tune to maximize the mods I've added,
and to smooth things out/ correct my A/F at lower RPMs ,
but its best that I wait a until my Headers are on.
yeah it was actually your recommendation BRH off another forum that got me to look him up, from all i have read he is one of the best in the area!
Well we ended up with 304 rwhp and 336 ft/pounds torque
and a vid up on the Dyno...
i was wondering why the tires were so loud, turns out he had it up to 155 mph lol!

Do you have any quarter mile track slips yet? You should be low 13's with that kind of power.
Here's a bud's 10' QC 4x4 (Diablo canned 87 tune, 14" Mufflex) on CCMR's Dyno, 4th gear pull
His best track slip is 14.650 @ 96.50 at 2500' DA (14.211 @ 99.55 DA corrected)
