Cab Mounts
Hey guys. haven't been on here lately due to work and workin on my ram. Just put new fenders on it last night and when i was underneath it doing the very bottom inside mounting bolt, i realized i have a very serious issue with the cab mount on the driver side front. Do they make a aftermarktet one to replace this? If not, has anyone here rebuilt one? Fabrication is no problem for me, i do alot of it, and i got a couple ideas on how I would go about doing it, but I wanna see what you guys have done first.

I haven't seen anyone who's done that here. Cab mounts are hard to find but if you can fab, that might be your best bet.

If someone could get me alot of pictures and measurements i know i could build them. do we have any takers for that?

If I still had my '99 I'd surely do it. Good luck!

Thanks Maddog, im sure someone will step up. Do you think that the front cab mounts would be the same on an extended cab and a standard cab?

Found your are the pics...

11 inches long, 5 inches wide with a 6 inch support plate inside... it tapers downwards and flattens off as well as it tapers upwards geometrically and the end in compound radius'd so I dont really have anything to measure any of the angles or radius's..... Hope this helps somewhat... It is basically the mirror image of the opposite sides, these were pics of the passenger side.

i actually need it off the part that is attached to the cab. the part that is attached to the frame on my truck is good. its the part that is (was) one with the cab.

I am having the same problem as FF54. Can i buy the mounts or do I need to do a lot of body work?

Bumping this one back up because I've got a spot or two on my truck that looks just like the pic that Dragonmyth posted above.

Are there any options here other than maybe square steel tubing and a welder?
