Mod17 - Drop In

So tonight I went to Canadian Tire to pickup an air hose reel that's on sale for $28 (70% off).

When I got home, I found this right beside it..... :D

So I went hunting for some place to hide it.

And found this in the way.

It has a part number if anyone is looking for it.

The hiding spot....perfect fit.

What fits the hiding spot in the 4th gen Ram?

Does it make a difference......Yup! :D

Nice! That was one of the very first things that I've done. Which reminds me I should take a look at it and see how dirty it is.

I didn't know until I bought it.....it's washable! They claim it's a million mile filter.

That's crazy. Yeah they're a great product, I've had one on each vehicle that I've owned.

LOL....It wasn't a freebie. I went for the hose reel, but made the awful mistake of walking by the K&N display and did an 'impulse' purchase. These things are pretty expensive, so I was hiding it from the 'Boss'. :D

I was considering that, but it,s so close to the exhaust on the 4th gen that I think I would loss all performance gained by the extra air flow to the heat of the air. The OEM air box is set quite far back.... :4-dontknow: I'm looking into the idea of adding and extra ducted input to the side though....try to get more air and keep it cool. :)

do you think it's farther back then the 3rd gen's.. i ran this way for awhile and it didn't seam to suffer in performance... back then when i was lightly modded I was still faster then most..

and talk about modding, we had a local gtg at sonics yesterday, talking to the guys, one of them just got a sharadon tranny he got from another Ram owner..one convo led to another and before you knew it we were driving the 1.5 hours back to my house and installed his tranny for him later that night...yea he was very happy with this mod..
