Does HID's Void Your Warranty

Just wondering if HID's void out your warranty if something goes wrong

It all depends. If they can trace that the HIDs(or aftermarket part) caused the issue then that warranty will be voided.

If installed right nothing will go wrong so id say no most are plug and play unless you get ones with leds that have to be stripped into your current wiring. So id say no

Oh I've had my truck to the dealer for free oil changes and they actually commented on the stuff to it not one word bout voiding the warranty.

well I have TWO TIPM burned up...the first time i had no relay harness and was a cheap kit second time I bought the kit from DDM tuning and i used a relay harness and now again no low or high beam on drivers side so i am pretty sure its the same reason all the same signs ...fogs work perfect

Weird my tire light come on for 2 secs when i turn it on as far as problems i used the harness and relays and been 8 months not 1 problem also wired into my wiring for the leds.

same with me but i dunno why i keep losing the ground on the drivers side...or well the TIPM....thats a 1000 dollar part I dont wanna end up having to pay for it ...and I hate having one headlight ....no matter what bulbs you buy ...nothing is the same as those HID's they are amazing lights....I just wish I could get them to work....I might have had them working for 3 or 4 months max

Anybody that drives by me with hid'd in their stock housing gets my highbeams. Very inconsiderate to other drivers blinding them with those things.

Projectors are a different story but I see plenty of guys on here with those blinding things in their stock housings.

That's a $850 fine down here

UMMM I've had the local LEOs chat with me at the coffee shop, and they were complimenting my lights and asking where I bought them from. Maybe its because I aligned them after install??? I don't know where you live but thats the first I've heard of any $850 fines too????

No, HID's won't void the warranty unless they fail and cause damage to an OEM part.

I adjusted my headlights after putting the HID's in but I think it will look a lot better, and not scatter the light so much, if I go with the projector retrofit.
