Hypertech Max Energy 52001 work with 3.7l?

Their website says it does.

I'd venture to guess that it does then... you could always email or call Hypertech if you need to satisfy your curiosity though.

Wow, nice find, would be worth checking into!

Well, I guess I should change this thread from a question to a review. I bought the programmer yesterday and have to admit that I am impressed with the results. I am not sure what 24 more hp and 24 more ft of torque feels like and I have no cheap access to a dyno, but I can feel the results in the seat of my pants. I can really feel the difference when cruising at highway speeds.

For anyone interested in getting this, I checked and it seemed like the lowest price around was at 4 wheel parts. I think this is an internet deal only though and I was unable to capitalize on it as I went down there in person. However, if you buy the econ model you get a free upgrade to the max model. This way the unit is only $310.00 before tax. I was impatient and ended up paying more.

That's awesome, great to know! I'm sure you posted this elsewhere, but do you have any other mods on your truck cause my curiosity is definitely up now!

deervalley are you in Phoenix, Arizona? Just looking at your info that's what you have as your location and there are dyno's nearby, rates are usually about $60 for a few pulls which are done in like 1/2 hour. You can look them up here if you're interested http://www.dynojet.com/dyno_centers/...utomotive.aspx. I've got an 04 Ram 3.7 w/ pretty much every bolt on there is for it and was able to get hemifever to tune it through SCT. The gains we saw going from stock tune to premium at the peak power points were about 11 hp and 10 tq w/ areas along the rpm range showing more than that. I'm really curious to see the dyno numbers from a third party for the hypertech b/c the gains they claim from just the 87 tune are unrealistic so I'm skeptical about their numbers.

Cajun, I have virtualy no performance mods done to my Ram. Everything I have done has been for ease of use (power windows) or looks, but I am sure I this will not be the last mod!

Chambers, I will have to get it dynoed then, but how will I get a baseline. Do I put the original tune back on and then reload it back on for another pull? That could end up costing quite a bit of money. What mods do you have on your truck, and which one gave you the most bang for your buck. (if you don't mind me asking)

They give you 3 pulls and around 30 minutes usually for the fee of $60, so you should have time to plug in the tuner and switch it back to stock for a run or to the performance tune if you start w/ it stock. It only takes a few minutes to flash the pcm w/ a tune or return it to stock. I know all the v6 guys wanting this tuner would appreciate some numbers from an independent source and I'm curious to see what they got as well.

My mods are listed in my profile under the mods section except for the magnaflow muffler and cutting out the stock y-pipe from the exhaust. The best for the money was probably the electric fan b/c it gave me 1.5 mpg more than I was getting consistently. Then the detroit truetrac and hemifever tuning are a tie. Whenever it was wet I would always spin my one tire taking off from intersections so the truetrac helped a ton with traction. Hemifever gave me a good amount of power to tie all my mods together w/ a tune which I have dyno graphs posted here http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=64326.

Heads up to anyone looking for the hypertech there is a guy on dodge forum in the 3rd gen dakota section selling his for $125. His screen name is sullysdetailing, the other day he said it was sold but he posted a thread today saying it was for sale so not sure what's up w/ it. Check it out to get a deal on the tuner.

Chambers,
I saw your dyno run on that link you provided but am a little confused. Were those numbers ran with all your mods, or just the ones listed under each run?
