Horrible Dealer Experiance!

This thread is for people living in Arizona. Don't go to Avondale Dodge! They are crooks and can't communicate amongst each other. When I bought my truck the sales lady agreed to throw in a remote start for free to seal the deal. I made an appointment with service to come in and get it installed and have the tires re-balanced because the truck sat for a while and were out of balance. Anyways, so I went in today to get my remote start installed and get tires balanced.

The service director said he didn't have a Work Order for the RS. I called bull and had a finance guy write one up for me since the guy I dealt with didn't come in for another few hours. I got myself a loaner (caliber) pos and went back home. They said it would take 4 hours? Ok whatever, never got a call to come pick up my truck so I just drove back and saw my truck parked waiting for me.

I asked the SW what happened to my call letting me know my truck was read for me to pick up. He didn't have an answer. So I drove home thinking everything was ok. When I got home I went to go lock the truck on the remote and I didn't hear the usual beep letting me know the truck was locked. I was like what the... Looked back at the truck and saw the lights flash indicating it was locked but no sound. (I have the "state of the art" after market alarm system you have to pay extra for.) I unlocked the door and looked where the blue light from the alarm is on the lower left part of the dash. IT WAS GONE!!!

I was pissed at this point, so I called up the dealership again. After talking to the SW, sales lady, finance guy and another guy involved in the mess, they told me the guy from the finance dept that wrote up the WO had told the SW to remove the alarm and install the RS. Mind you I payed extra for the alarm and it clearly stated it in the loan. Well the SW said "I just do what im told" and the guy that messed it all up from the beginning was conveniently off work at this point. So, after further talking with the remaining 3 people they then told me that the guys hired in to work on the alarms all went home until monday. I thought well what if some one buys a car on the weekend who activates the alarms? So I called B.s. again.

Pretty sure my sales lady did mine right in front of me when I bought my truck. So basically they're saying its my fault and I'll have to wait til monday because they don't want to take the blame that They F'ed up.

Then they gave me a number to call to see if I could convince an alarm guy to come out to my house to reinstall the alarm for me. Why should I be calling? And what alarm are they reinstalling? I don't have one in the truck to install. The dealership stole my alarm out of my truck that I payed for and they had no right to remove it. They didn't even say anything about it when I came to pick it up. They didn't even bother looking into the situation further to see that I payed for the alarm and that there really was a WO for the RS.

So finally after much argument one of them told me well there should be an alarm guy here tomorrow. So I guess we'll find out tomorrow if there really is some one there or if they were just saying that to shut me up.

Yeah, ya gotta repeat things to them 3 or 4 times and check their paper to make sure they haven't gotten it wrong.

Luckily I have a great service adviser that I deal with and if there's something else that comes up, they call me right away. And they call me when my vehicles are ready.

yea not this place. They wouldnt take the blame and kept telling me it wasnt there fault. I couldnt believe it.

MADDOG nailed it and I too have a great SW that I deal with, they take first class care of me and I didn't even buy my truck from them...but you better believe I'm buying my next Ram from them.

I sure hope they get this taken care of for you! Let us know how it all turns out.

Sad to say more and more dealers are going this route.

That was my thought. I hate it that my selling dealership is gone because they were excellent to work with, from sales to parts to service. Sure hope they make this right but I sure sympathize with your frustration. Definitely keep us posted as to what happens.

Luckily, I have 7 dealers within 30-40 minutes from me. Some have great service departments and some are easier to deal with when it's time to buy.
And some are just not so great all around.

ok so i called the dealer this morning to make sure this alarm guy was there before i left... Yea there like theres no alarm guy here today. I said I thought you told me he was going to be here today? Well there just not here today but usually theres a guy here on sat. So They are going to make the alarm guy go mobile to me on monday.
