Different Superchargers = Different Sound?

We all know the supercharger whine... Well i hear superchargers from time to time that have less of a wine and more of a turbo sound, does that have to do with brand or boost or what?

Maybe you are hearing one with helical cut gears?

It has to do with the brand and how they cut the compressor wheels. A more blocky cut creates more whine, just like some differential gears.

Magnacharger = quiet
Kenne Bell = :smileup:

Centrifugal superchargers tend to have more of the "turbo" sound than blower wine as well
