Farmboy Diesel Exhaust Quality

Hello all!

My current 5" exhaust has seen better days. The truck is an 06 2500 4x4 Laramie CTD QCLB with the 325/610 CRD. The current exhaust is a turbo back, aluminized, no catylitic converter, and it does have a muffler.

I see Farmboy Diesel has the same system, but with the muffler delete, and a chrome 7" tip for $430 shipped. That's a really great price.

I've watched many YouTube vids of the system with and without mufflers. In the videos, I can't hear a difference. I like it a bit loud, so I'm probably going to roll the dice on the stright pipe.

As for my question: how is their quality? I've read great things about sound and price, but no one mentions how they're put together. Is is a "you get what you pay for" type thing, or are they just cheaper priced cause they're a small company?

Thanks for the thoughts! :wavey:

Ive heard good things about them, if I liked the sound of 5" I would go with there exhaust. It is an aluminized exhaust though so your only going to get maybe 3 or 4 years out of it maybe more or less depending on your weather conditions.
From what I have heard there mufflers are pretty straight through but the cut back the drone a little bit

Thanks for the help, Stang. I got the FBD 5" straight piped with the 7" tip. Hope she treats me well! I'll post some pics when it gets here.
