I also noticed that Volant now has a system that they say hooks up to the SRT-10 Dodge Ram hood!!!

Thanks for the reply maddog, but I'm looking for something more specifically like what's in the picture:

I plan to do the ducting myself on the cheap, I need something to fit the area where my tow hooks are (guessing like 7" long by 3" tall or so). I'm looking for like $15/ea or cheaper. Any more than that and I can make them out of FG.

Would prefer it to funnel down to 2.5"-3" pipe.

Keep lookin' then. You may have to pick the best product you can find and tweak from there.

Yeah I was hoping you'd have some secret website like you did last time when I was looking for grommets....I can't even remember now but it was that clips an fasteners website. I've probably ordered off of there 5 times since that thread lol! So no tricks up your sleeve this time huh....ok....

Well just to update I decided to just make the scoops out of aluminum sheet. I'll be making the rest of the tube from the scoop to the air box out of aluminum tube so it will all be the same. Was going to do FG as I have some and it wouldn't cost me anything, but would take a lot longer, and I'd have to paint it...so anyway I'm going to try to mock something up this weekend to see what materials I need to buy then hopefully over the next several weeks i'll get it welded up. I'd like to have it for the next funday sunday at the track (10/9) but have a feeling it may take longer than that as I have little free time right now lol.

I hope it comes out nice, if it does then I'll have a really nice free flowing ram air intake and the whole thing will only have cost me about $200(from the scoop to the TB).

Yes, I'm going to have scoops where the tow hooks go, and pipe them to the stock airbox. From there I have a drop in (dry) airaid filter and the modular intake tube. The intake I have now is nearly as good as a high dollar aftermarket one (if not as good as). Saved me a lot of money. The ram air is what will make the most difference for any intake(at higher rpm's of course). Most people that add a good ram air (sealed) will drop about 2 tenths on their 1/4 mile time. If it's not sealed it still helps but not as much. I've seen a car on a dyno that had a ram air, and they put a leaf blower at the ram air scoop and it added about 10rwhp. Would probably get WAY more air on the road so I bet it could add more like 20 rwhp, maybe even more who knows. That's a lot for very little money. Also should help hwy mpg.

why not make a scoop out of some fiberglass? Its easy, you can get the exact size you need, its fun to make a mess in the garage, etc etc

If you need help I can give you some tips, plus its a good skill to have ...
