Rock Sliders? (09+)
So I knew my steps were going to be a problem, but they came with the truck. I took it to a nearby rock quarry this week and realized how limiting the worthless chrome contraptions actually are.

I am used to wheeling with a Jeep. Now there is so much space between the front and back wheels that the breakover angle is a problem.

Can you guys point me toward some good rock sliders? I would love to see some good pics. I will probably build my own so I would really like to see how they tie into the frame. :ven:

Thanks in advance.

retangle tubbing (2"x3" or so) with both ends cut at an angle and capped (for under the rockers of course) and use the same tubing to go from them to the frame rails and welded it all up

Therewas a member on here who was making his own sliders for hi white 4th gen, haven't seen anything about them in awhile an can't seem to find his post but maybe someone else can recall who it was

Here are the ones I'm almost finished making gotta do some grinding and send to powdercoat. I can't find my old thread either...It might have been in my vendor section and deleted when I stopped that. Its been crazy and I haven't worked on them much until this week

^^ These have since had extra support welded between the two horizontal to help take lateral forces. Hey hook over the frame and will support my weight with out bolting into the frame

The tube is 2x6 1/8" wall and the center bracket is 3/16" cut and welded and the front and rear are 1/4" all bolt to the frame using existing holes. I did have to drill 2 holes per side on the inside of the frame so i can send a bolt right thru.
Each bracket actually extend into the tube the full 6" width for extra support
