O2 sensors and a true dual exhaust
I am planning on making the custome true duel exhaust on my truck very soon What I am hoping to do is remove the factory 2 into 1 Cat and replace everything from there back with one pipe for each bank.
Since I still have to do a sniff test every two years wich includes a visual inspection I still need to have cats in the system so Im thinking two cheap cats one for each side. The problem is that I have a single after cat O2 sensor, will I be alright just running the single sensor in one bank or is there a way to put two sensors and wire them together so that the ECM sees them as a sigle sensor.
BTW its a 96 with a 5.2 magnum CAI and the throttle body machined and polished if any of that makes a difference
Thanks in advance
Hi :Hey: and I sure wish I had an answer for you. Best I can do is :icon_bump: this back to the top for you.
yeah thanks Red
Near as I can figure from searching around the forum and other places is that I "should" be ok as the after cat sensor only tells the ECM that the cat is working
I was just hoping that sombody could tell me for sure
