Brembo Brakes

I was at the dealer for service today and saw the new Chargers and Challengers (SRT-8) come standard with pretty red Brembo brakes.

This made me want to put them on my Ram!

Has anyone tried to do this? Parts guy was speculating there might not be enough space between the rotor and the rim but there is a ton of room.

I think it could fit, but then I would need to cough up about 2K to get it done!

I do know that you can't fit a 300C wheel on a 300SRT car because of the larger Brembo calipers. I like my Brembo system!!!

You'd have to measure carefully for clearance and check the configuration of the caliper mounting flange.

Brembo and baer make kits for our trucks. Those should fit since you have 20" wheels. But you can't use the system off of the cars due to different bolt pattern

I loved my brembo's on my charger srt. Just would wonder if the truck would eat those pads in short order.

I'm gonna do the $20 "performance" brake mod... Duplicolor red caliper paint.

I hve spoken with Brembo about the kit (we are brembo dealers at work) and in their notes they said their test fit vehicle was a 2009 4wd with 20s and everything fit like a charm. Only setback is the $$. Even at the steep discount i get its scary expensive

that would be a sweet mod but wayyyy too pricey in my opinion

CTYHNTR 09-27-2011 01:24 PM

Just curious, what is the price range?

SS4Luck 09-27-2011 02:31 PM

Roughly $4,500... and thats just for the front

CTYHNTR 09-27-2011 03:12 PM

Holy crap, that's much more than I imagined! Oh well, I guess that idea is out.
