Spending $600

If you had $600 to spend on a brand new truck that had no mods what would you buy?

Send it to me and I'll show you :) jk lol

I'd say tuner, but you can't as they aren't available...so next I'd say I'd try to do an intake and exhaust for that $600.

tonneau cover is always one of my first mods.

I have a different approach. You need maximum benefit for your $$, so get multiple items. Such as: remove a few chrome/plastic letters (3M adhesive remover, $15), add window deflectors ($100), add all weather floor mats ($100 or $200), a hitch ($30), door edge protectors ($10), maybe a bug shield, and very good wax. Change oil to synthetic at first oil change (more expensive, yes). If you don't have rear wheel well inserts, this is a very good idea to keeping your truck clean through the winter months.

I have also been thinking of a separate undercoat project to protect the truck.

I would save the engine and tonneau covers until next spring. You may want to spend more than $600 on some of these options after you determine what you really like.

Check out this thread. Lots of ideas here from other forum members that might help you make that $600 go a long way.

exhaust, intake, spray in box liner, bushwacker flares, tinted windows, debadging, running boards/steps...any of these would be a good start

My first investment was a Bedtred bedliner made by the Bedrug company. Looks great, soft on the knees. easy do-it -yourself install. Quality product. It won't make your truck go faster, but will make it look newer longer . A little over $300 bucks. Then I would take the money left over and buy your wife/girlfriend some flowers and wine, because you will be spending Hundreds and Hundreds more on Mods

I like HikerGuy's approach...spread out the money a bit for those things you don't already have that you will need. One of the first things I do is tint the front windows to match the rears.
