heater core removal 84 ram no air

I just bought a 84 Ram and the heater core is leaking. My truck does not have air so it looks like I just unbolt around the fan and then bring it out from inside.

Does anyone know the exact steps it would take for me to remove the core and replace it? I have never done this before.

Thanks

Hi, don't have an answer, but I can offer to :icon_bump: this back to the top!

Well I put in the new heater core. On a non-air truck it is very simple. Once I had the dash support bar out the whole heater unit came right out. Put the new core in and away I went. Took me about 3 hours to put in because the 1st core I bought was not manufactured right so I went to CarQuest to get another and took the one from oRielly back to them.

All works well. A Chiltons book is also very helpful.

I love this TRUCK. RAMS are fun!
