4wd lift on a 2wd truck?

I have a buddy of mine who doesnt understand exactly why this wont work, and in all honesty the only thing I can tell him is that is just wont haha:LOL: anybody have some info on why a lift kit for an 06 4wd wouldnt work on his 06 2wd?:4-dontknow:

Suspension systems are different... I believe the 4wd's use torsion bars (I could be wrong. Been awhile since I've been under one.), whereas the 2wd's use coil springs/struts in the front... The only part you'd be able to use on both rigs, is the lifting blocks for the rear axle...

They stopped using torsion bars in 05

thats what i was under the impression of, that torsion bars were no longer in use on the newer models 06 and up. And when we sit down and compare the components of the kit for the 2wd and the kit for the 4 wd....we dont see a difference lol

2wd's use straight coil springs. The 06+ 4wd's use struts (spring/shock combo). If you look in the parts book you can see it.
