2 cans of break fluid today
O.K. I have put 2 cans of break fluid in my ram today. I can not locate any leaking around the tires, nor the master. What else could it be? Where is it going?:4-dontknow:

If your master cylinder is dry on the bottom & the wheel cylinders are dry on the backing plates

There must be a fitting leaking, somewhere along the frame
UNLESS the fluid is leaking some how into the brake booster

If your vehicle took 2 cans of fluid, you now have air in the lines & no reliable brakes
You need to fix the leak & bleed the brake system

Good Luck

Not too many places it can go:
  • leaking at the wheels
  • external leak at the master cylinder
  • internal leak at the master cylinder

I'd look at #3....

No leaking at the wheels or along the frame that i could find.
How do I check the break booster to see if there is fluid in it?
Internal leak in the master cylinder?

Take off the master cylinder; check the piston for leaks.

Park it somewhere dry and pump the brakes, then look under for drips.... Take two bolts off the master cylinder and see if there is fluid it should be dry ( there shouldnt be any fluid unless the seal is leaking there then it will be wet. )

If the master cylinder is leaking internally, that is it is leaking past the plunger seal back into the bore, it will not lose fluid but the brakes will feel like crap and the pedal will gradually depress. If you are losing fluid you have some sort of external leak.
