I'm trying to find out what this is called!

I'm trying to find out what this piece under the door is called, it looks like its about 1-1/2 to 2 inches tall and just shorter than the door wide, I know what a rocker panel is, but am not sure if this piece is considered a rocker panel.

Outer rocker panel.

Outer rocker panel brought results on google, does anyone know who sells them for a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 Club Cab? My left outer rocker panel is rusting out and I don't think a patch will work.

Welcome, Mine had a few holes in them so I welded in some sheet metal pieces then I just glassed matted the backsides and filled with epoxy, then glassed and epoxied the exterior, extra heavy on the epoxy primer and sealed the inside of the rockers to prevent future rust, then my whole truck was painted, very impressed with the results
