77.1 miles per gallon

running down hill at 55 miles and hour, took my foot off the gas for whatever reason and watched my gas mileage indicator go up really fast.
Short hill only a half mile or so and the display went up three or four miles every ten feet of so. Got it all the way up to 77.1 miles per gallon.....LOL

don't we all wish it would stay there !!

I wish it would stay there but I hate priuses.

I hate smart cars even more. LOL. It is fun to reset the mpg indication while going down hill just to see how high it will go.

Lmao, I agree, it would be great if it would stay there. You should have snapped a pic, that would have been worth it to document.

That 99.9 will always put a smile on your face, if only it would stay for a little bit longer

That is why I use miles driven devided by gallons used for my mileage numbers, not the toy on the dash.

Have you had a chance to compare your math to the toy on the dash to see what the difference is?

I thought I read on here that someone was really close to what the dash said. Not sure if that's correct or not as I only care about gas milage when I tow out of state and when I want to see just how high I can get it without reseting it on the downhill coast. I've seen as little as 4mpg with my 07 Mustang GT loaded going uphill at 65mph and as much as 11mpg cruising at 65 flat with the same load. Towing My Dodge Neon track car to Vegas in a week and a half. Hope to see 12 or 13 mpg since it only weights a hair over 2000 with 1/4 tank.

When in Fuel Economy mode, how can I disable the Reset option? If you bump the button on the wheel accidentally, it resets your average.
Also, does anyone know how far back the computer samples for its calculations? Mine seems a bit too active. With 21 k on my truck, it should hardly move.
