no linex near me. what do i need to know about install? on the tailgate, do they remove the screws or just spray over? same in the bed, remove tiedowns or just spray over, drain holes, plugged or what? was told they have 2 thickness options, so thick or thin? tks all

Depends you know you have to take a grinder to your bed to scuf up the paint ask me id go with a bed rug they are just as durable can be removed and not f up your bed. But as far as removing everything ties downs on the 4th gen are welded in drain plugs yes cover tailgate remove screws its all in the prep and if you want it to last then thick. Look into the uv protection if not it will fade and make sure its even if not you have water sit in spots and will will soften up and youll be doing it again.

I got Linex so I'm not sure but...

Tailgate screws were taken out and replaced after.

Tailgate hardware was cleanly masked off.

Drain holes were not plugged.

Tie downs were sprayed over.

The franchise here did an excellent job, my only complaint is they got a small amount of over-spray on the spare time by not blocking the hole in the back of the box neat the tailgate.

I'd ask Rhino before they start. Rhino is more rubbery than Linex, but I see no advantage to thick.

Inner10, does Linex have a slippery feel? Does cargo move around?

I have Line-X and they did not remove the drain plugs in the bulkhead. I asked about it and they said that if they did then after they sprayed they wouldn't be able to put them back in. So I left them in. Doesn't look bad and the drains are far enough up the bulhead that they aren't useful.

Same, here they removed the tailgate access plate, masked the tailgate and sprayed the plate seperately. Then put it back on with the hardware.

I have a 2011 Ram 1500 Tradesman. I was gonna go with a spray in bed liner. They do look sharp. But they are expensive, and I use my truck to hall firewood. After a lot of research, I went with a Dual Liner bed liner instead. Click this link, watch their videos and check them out. http://www.dualliner.com/
If you're not very rough on your truck bed, a spray-on should be just fine. But they have to scuff up the paint in the truck bed so the stuff will stick. This voids the factory paint warranty. Again, this may not be a consideration for you. I think my bed liner looks as good as a spray-in, but it's much more durable. And mine cost only $379 with free shipping. I installed it in 30 minutes. Super easy to do. And it doesn't trap water under the really thick bed mat. The bed mat is also not painful to kneel on, and whatever you put on it won't slide around.

Get what ever you want, but I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed with a "Dual Liner". I'm sure others could give you a good report on their bed liners. Maybe some will tell you what to stay away from (like the cheap one piece plastic jobs).

Still love my bed rug ive had the plastic piece of crap and the spray in on other trucks this bed rug is miles ahead of them all.And super durable and you can power wash it.

Are you sure about this. I called Chrysler and asked them if my warranty would be voided if I had an aftermarket spray-in liner put in by a professional installer and they told me No. My warranty would still be in affect.
