My 2011 Express vs 2007 Trailblazer SS

A buddy of mine recently purchased a Trailblazer SS and is one who loves to race and hates to get beat..well we lined em up Saturday nightto run a dead stop race and from a kick. I had turned off my tac control which turned out be a mistake as I set there roasting the tires off. He got about a 6 truck jump on me as I was spinning but ended up around a 4 truck length win for the SS to 100. We then lined up from 30 kick and again he jumped me about a truck but at 100 we where dead even. My Express is stock besides drop in KN filter and he was running a CAI, tune, headers and full magnaflow exhaust. I felt good about outcome cosidering his mods. Anyone raced a stock one?

Nice kill man! I've never raced one, but I saw one the other day.

The only one I have seen around my town has a turbo on it (I have worked on it before a few years back) and I would get spanked and know it. He won't race me though as I have tried just to see how many links he would have on me.

The TBSS are low-mid 14s stock so with his mods he should be mid-high 13s if the headers are long tubes

Tunes can make or kill it. Stock for stock my money would be on the slightly and awd lighter Trailblazer unfortunately.

But I dunno anything is possible so I learned.
