Carbon issues...

:feedback: Hey guys back with another ?. OK there are two (2) of these on my 6.7, one is at the air box cover the other is in the intake tube.I do believe these are the intake temp. sensors or are they? Now the question is the one that is in the intake side is completely covered in carbon, you can barely see the little electrodes. So are these cleanable or does this one have to be replaced? Also when it becomes contaminated like this what problems can it create? Why I ask is because the engine does a burping around the 1,300 -1,600 rpm or when you take off from a stop.It won't do this always but it never did it this summer only lately as the temps. got a bit colder if this has anything to do with it.Anybody have this demon?
