Functional hood scoops
Finally worked myself up to removing the plastic hood scoops on the challenger style hood. Rut out the blank. And glues in some mesh. I color matched the scoop to the truck and used the same red I used for the front emblem. It's pretty close to the "R/T" badge. I'm going to be modding up a way to plumb th scoops into the air box w/o getting water in there too. Here's the pics of the end result.

That looks fantastic.

that looks awsome, now you need to put a couple LEDs in there so at night they light up red:FIREdevil:

looks good man, looking forward to seeing the plumbing to the air box. Avoiding the water is the big issue with doing that.

But looks sick, staying tuned to see what you come up with

Not to long ago on Spike or Speed tv, they did a part of a show on making the stock Ram truck hood into a functional hood, it was on a show similar to 2 guys garage

this may be the video, use the arrows to see all 3 segments

There was one called the dragon wagon but I didn't see when they made them functional. That was on speed channel I think.
Bordin- I got some tricks up my sleeve ;)
Mr lopar- I was actually thinking about some strobes behind the scoops.
Thanks for the compliments guys it took forever to perfect.

Wow. That's really sharp looking! Very, very nicely done.

Looks great. I wonder how much it would drop temperature under the hood?
