Gear change ?
Hey fellas. Im new on here and looking for advice. I have a 2010 ram 2wd hemi reg cab, 20" wheels with 3.21 gears. Im wanting to upgrade. Just wondering if you would go to 3.92 or 4.10 with limited slip. Either way i know its going to be a big jump for me. Maybe what brand you would go with.

Also, i have been told no need for speedo change. Anything else i will have to worry about. I do have a superchip flashpaq as well. Thanks

There are a few different sources to check out
look in our Vendors section, you may get the best discount through them
then of coarse you could get it through your dealership

you may want to check out these sites to get more information about the 9.25 rear end

3.92 seems to be the most popular.

If I was switching from that ratio, I'd get the 4.10's instead of the 3.92's because I tow often and every little bit helps in that area. These trucks lack in the low-end area IMHO anyway, so it could only help in the city too. Besides, not much difference between the 3.92-4.10's anyway so why not go a bit higher? (numerically)

3.21's should never have been in these trucks to begin with.

With 17's 3.55 is minimum. With 20's the 3.92 is minimum.

Since you already have a Superchips so you can adjust for different ratios and 20's I would go 4.10. That will be similar to the 3.92 17" combo in rpm.

This is the best package I have found..

I think i will get the mopar gear set with detroit true trac 3.92 package. One shop told me i will hear alot of noise with motive or richmond gears. Maybe they just dont know what they are doing too. They said they will only use mopar gears in dodges for that reason

5% parts 95% install imo

I third what kay9 said. I'd get 4.10 over 3.92 if you are going through the expense and trouble of the swap.
