2001 Tail lights, how to take out?

Need to replace a bulb, HOW do I take the reat tail lights off? I see no screws, nothing.

if there is no screws there then it is prolly just a push in type so just try pulling on them to get it off the holding clip but dont apply too much force as you do not want to break them

My tail lights on my 01 do have a BLACK plastic trim pc that goes all the way around the tail light. I wonder if that needs to come off and then I can see the screws holding the tails in. I can't think that the whole assbly is just snapped in there!?!?!?

Normally there are two screws accessed from the inner side (put tailgate down and look in the "jamb" of the tailgate.

Hes right there are 2 torques screw's in tail gate jamb take those out and pull straght out. It sounds horrible when you do this cause the qurter panel side is held by clip's

snrusnak 11-07-2011 07:26 PM

Yeah and to clarify....if it's the same as my 4th gen ram, you pull straight back, like in the direction out of the bed.

mr.lopar 11-07-2011 10:19 PM

yup, drop the tailgate, and there two t-25 torx screws, take them out and pull straight out, it might take a lil muscle to take em out, but they they will come out

I got them out today

015.2Ram 11-08-2011 10:01 PM

I even looked with the got down. The bedliner spray coating sorta hide them from me
