In need of a shock upgrade

My 2001 Ram 1500 Quad 4x4 has nearly 80,000 on its origional shocks and are in need of replacements.
I want to upgrade a bit to a brand that is higher quality than stock. I dont do any 4 wheeling so it doesnt have to be premium offroad shocks.
What is a good brand for my truck?
I dont have a price range in mind but I dont want to spend upwards to $100 per shock. $50 to $75 per shock would be more like it.

That is actually the mid higher priced range for a shok in my oppinion.
You should be able to find a regular bilstien shock for $60-$75 I would think. I personally feel they would be your best bet

Bilstien shocks seem to be a preferred choice in here

Not sure I`ve seen a Bilstien with rubber boots. Do they make them with rubber boots? Are rubber boots that important?

I believe the 4600 and 5100 both come with a boot or an upper tube. Shocks boots are all the same, you can order a different color if you like theyre only a couple bucks
When I looked for shocks for your truck it didn't have a 1500 option but it did for 02 which should be the same although you might want to cross check the lengths
This is the part number for the 4600 shock front-24-069281 and rear-24-025508
They only give the 5100 rear (p/n 24-025508) for some reason

These shocks say 1" lift, but they are the correct ones for my truck?
