Anybody running Caltracs on their 2nd Gen?
Kinda looking for info if anybody is running them. Did they make a difference or no? I have a 98 SS/T and instead of being one of those guys that throws money at the motor I want to squeeze as much out of her chassis/suspension as I can. Thanks in advance.

good call, suspension setup is almost as important as motor setup. Using Caltracs on my truck i can see how great it performs vs the old school slappers.

Sweet thanks. That's what I was looking for. I have a friend that called Calverts yesterday and got a lot of answers for me since I am in Iraq right now. Glad they have a direct fit kit for these trucks. What shocks are you running and what kinda 60 ft times are you getting? Before and after you added them?

I wanna say that before caltracs i was in the 2.0+ range (I can feel the spin do to lack of weight)...but after, I am in the 1.8's range, can feel the rear end squat and the spin is almost non existent (most of the time)... since I'm dropped I normally use belltech nitro II's but have been on my drag shocks (competition engineering) for the last couple months and the ride isn't bad on the streets. i want to move to qa1's so i don't have to swapem out..

Nice. 2 tenths is alot to pickup, especially in the first 60 ft. I am looking at the Caltrac relabeled Rancho 9000's. Oh and it is my pleasure to serve and will be for a little over 5 more years, but I will reenlist again then too.
