Bedrug... carpeted bedliner install opinion.

I am planning on buying a carpeted bedmat, but i have a spray n liner, will it install ok or do i have to remove the spray in liner?

You should be able to install the bedrug over the spray in liner. It may not fit 100% perfect and you may have to do some trimming of the foam on the underside of the rug depending on how thick the spray in lining was applied, but it is lot better than trying to remove the spray in lining.

Question is the bed rug is held down by velcro will the velcro strips stick to the bedliner if not then youll have a problem

I doubt you would have to do any trimming. The spray in liner is not that thick that you would have issues. Under the bedrails can be tucked if necessary, and at the front and back, there is a little room to work with as well.

Love the bedrug!

Man that looks so nice! Are there any bad things about the bed mats? Does it stay inplace as good as it says?

Yes it does just not sure how well it will stick to a spray on liner

Bed rugs are very nice. Ran mine with a carpeted bed cover for a few years and it was like having a huge trunk. Ran the bedrug in a open bed for another 2 years when i took the cover off. Only negative for me was hauling landscapes debris as it took a bit to get all the pines and needles out afterwards but that was far few and between.

did it w mine sticks fine, just prep it to be clean and a few more velcros on the corners will seal the deal, love it

You can test the tailgate section with the provided Velco and if you feel that its not good enough then maybe try some industrial strength Velcro, but like others have said - Good prep is key.

x2....just about to post the same question. I suspect the adhesion strips will not hold on the spray in bed liner. However, I also suspect enough friction that it might not slide around either. Short of grinding off the spray in liner to create a smooth surface, I can't see it working as good as the bare beds.

After Chrysler just charged me $450 for the spray in liner, not really interested in compromising the liner by grinding it away. :i_rolleyes:

Let us know how you make out.
