CB Radios
Does anyone have a CB radio mounted in their Ram? I'm curious to see where you put them.

It really depends on your front seats
buckets with center floor console or bench type seat

I have the bucket seats with the console.

My CB is about as big in size as you can buy, most are smaller

because the cb is mounted there, it does not get much cooling, my cb has huge heat sinks & internal fans. There is also an auxiliary fan under the cb, it blows directly up onto the heat sinks for extra cooling

also because it is in the console, i have an exterior speaker mounted

I have a hand held cb u can use it plug in to tr or connect a bat pack and use it anywhere . due to the electronics on the tr to much static cant hear it over the noise unless you shut off tr . and wait for the electronics to stop . how do you get the static out is my q:

Your probably picking up alot of noise because you don't have an external antenna. The further from electronics your antenna is the less noise and with your handheld it's in the cab

I have a external ant it's a throu the glass type mounted on back glass bye the way where would you put an external ant with out cutting a hole in body to mount

There are several different mounts that use the stake holes in the rails of the bed.
Mine are mouned off of my toolbox

I have 2 hand held 40 channel CBs, they work good in my Ram, no excess noise

I also have a Cobra all in 1 microphone, i have it mounted in a small suitcase, everything is in the suitcase but the mag mount antenna
