Warning Lights on a Ram

Anyone on here in public safety light up you ram? Let me know what you did. I will be lighting mine come summer time and getting ideas together. Also if anyone knows an led light that will fit under the tail gate let me know please!!! Thank you

I have a forward facing led strobe that is suction cup mounted to the windshield beside the mirror.
I power it from the mirror itself, so no wires hanging.
I am going to order a pair of small red led strobes and mount them beside the high stop light facing the rear. I am going to connect them to the circuit feeding the bed light. It has a switch on the dash already and I never use the bed light anyway.
I am also thinking of a pair of led strobes behind the grill.

I just bought my truck so no lights in that yet, My old man has a 05 2500 that has a few bells and whistles
personally in the rear go strobes in the tail lights and lights in the rear window i wouldnt mount anything Under the tailgate. He is an Officer and goes direct to calls and it seems just strobes work for him in the rear

those licence plate lights do look snazzy, But i think all i should need is strobes in the rear of mine, All i respond to is the station not direct. I might do a light bar though on my truck im still debating that so i'll get back to you when i get around to it

I have a Whelen Liberty in blue on Pro Rack. It's mounted with slide bolt brackets from Whelen to brackets from Pro Rack.

I have a dual talon in the front, just small enough to fit behind the rear view mirror. (it stays out of the way and still moves traffic) i am also putting another one in the back however i have to figure out where to plug it in... i'm out of cord.

I wouldn't put anything on the cab roof, these rams have enough roof/cargo light water leaks

My recommendation would be based on alot of factors:
  • How far is it to the station (I assume you're a volunteer firefighter/first responder)?
  • What type of area do you live it? Rural? City?
  • I see you live in NY and the guys up there run blue lights. What do the state/local/department ordinances say about POV lights?

My theory is quality over quantity. If you have a couple of well-placed light heads, it will be more effective than a proverbial "Christmas tree".

Here is a super easy way to mount a mini bar. all the wires run up through the bottom of the cab with a factory pop out. This video also gives a review of the mini bar. We get "......a lamp in or on.............green light....." for volunteer firefighter vehicles in Ontario Canada.
