You should probably go with a bumper hitch. A half ton pickup is really not enough for the 5th wheel. You might talk to the trailer place and see what they say but alot of places won't even install...

I havn't had this problem, maybe just been lucky. As far as fixing it........you could always look into a relocation kit. I used one on my 94 cummins for the oil and fuel filters.
