Great writeup. I like using the gasket also vs RTV. Saves me scraping, I've had no leak issues using gaskets.

I've used valvoline synthetic in the past and used RP today. I prefer buying a gasket instead of using RTV. Saves me time scraping and cleaning surfaces.
