Payload capacity is the first thing anyone with a "half ton" should look at when trying to figure out how heavy of a travel trailer they can tow. (Especially true for Ram 1500's). Work the numbers...

The difference is where the torque shows up in the RPM range. The Ecoboost sees something like 90% of it's peak torque at 1700-1800 RPM and holds it nice and flat past 4000 RPM which is beautiful...
