Took air cleaner off and opened up butterfly valve and looked down using a mirror and flashlight and it looks like oil residue sludge bits. Plenum gasket, I guess I can't complain truck has 176k.

Try this

Check out my post I may have a fix, I doubt its anything but bad contact points in the switches, WAY easy fix. I had the same problem, mine just got progressively worse and then quit all together...

Yeah, thats what saved my bacon when I had to take it back the second time after the rebuild. I think they had to replace the rear planets, but they didnt provide me with a parts/labor breakdown....

Oh and they replaced the front drum assembly and rear drum and support. Luckily it was under warranty, so I only had to fork out $500, but still this makes me sick!!!!!!!
