3rd gen here, so I don't have all the bells and whistles the newer trucks do. I leave it on temp/compass, but my fiancee seems to take great delight in putting it on instant MPG.

I prefer the bench. It gives the cab a more open feeling and allows room for another passenger. Plus, you don't really lose any storage space with the under-seat compartment and the flip-down...
