What kind of oil are you using? Won't take long for paraffin based oils to jam up oil ring. Any chance it was overfilled at some point? That will do it on start up. Picker.

Don't quote me, but was told by one of the R&D guy's at Daytona couple years back 6.4 uses same heads and cam as six-speed non MDS 5.7's (Challengers) Not sure about lower compression MDS engines....
