It could be the difference with an ethanol addative in the 89. I know that's whats normally cheaper here, but then again, SD produces a ton of ethanol. The cheapest here is 10% ethanol, 89 octane....

Maybe try getting an extendable magnet, a skinny telescoping type magnet. They make them nice and small and they're always helpful whenever I get into a pinch like that.
