Try the 33's first. If that's not enough, 3:92's-4:10's, or lastly 4:56's. I've driven a couple Rams with 318's and 4:10 gears that drove pretty good and got decent mpg.

Sorry to hear, I have to run a tune as I have a hot cam, headers, Vararam, etc. Hemifever tune and a Diablo Predator tuner with a 93 octane tune, shift points raised to 6300, etc. very happy.
