I would bring the truck to the nearest...

I would bring the truck to the nearest Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep service center and have them reflash the fob. Usually pretty cheap to do and a good place to start. Best of luck!

OK, I hoped to have it welded today, but to busy on non "government jobs". Hopefully I'll have time this weekend and maybe even bolt it to the truck and snap a few pics.

Here's where I got with it today. I was able to cut the stock down, make the 75 degree angle miters I needed and tack welded the components together to check the fit. All looks good so far...
