Depends on what you want out of it. If you want more daily driving power/performance, etc. and aren't looking for the absolutely best 1/4 mile ET then yeah quick tune is fine. The only time shift points will make a difference is at WOT, as in a drag race. So if you don't race and are just looking for good all around performance in your regular driving, then it won't matter(I mean really how often do you floor it and keep it floored from 0-60mph unless you are racing).

Basically here's your options in the "advanced" tuning:

Choose your tune(87, 91, 93, tow, mileage xs, stock)
Torque management settings(stock or "superchips"). To get more control you have to purchase advanced trans tuning.
Shift points at WOT(self explanatory)
Shift points at part throttle(stock or "superchips"). To get more control you hvae to purchase advanced trans tuning and then can make your own schedules.
Adjust tire diameter(if needed)
Adjust gear ratio(if needed)
Adjust electric fan settings(if applicable and needed)
Adjust rev limiter

There may be a few other things...can't remember it all off hand.

But basically the "superchips" settings are what are chosen on the quick tune I think, and they are pretty good. I have had my tuner for ~2 years and that's pretty much what I always have set. I am going to purchase the advanced trans tuning any day now though, I hear it's great to be able to have full control over the transmision.
